About MOCO
A community building something creative — together.
MOCO Creative Arts is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit fostering creativity, funding youth scholarships, and growing the arts across Montague County, Texas.
Where we are today
No building yet — and that’s by design.
MOCO doesn’t have a permanent home, and right now that’s a feature, not a flaw. Every rehearsal, performance, and program happens because a community partner opened their doors — a church fellowship hall, a school auditorium, a downtown storefront.
It keeps us nimble, keeps us grateful, and keeps the arts woven into the everyday places of Montague County. We’re building toward a permanent creative home — but until then, the whole county is our stage.

What guides us
Four things we won't compromise on
Community-first
We exist because neighbors show up for one another. Partnership is the whole model.
Youth in the center
Scholarships and stage time for the next generation of Montague County artists.
Open doors
No gatekeeping. If you want to make or experience art here, there is a place for you.
Built to last
Every dollar stays local and moves us toward a permanent creative home.
